Calcium 2-oxoglutarate

Calcium alpha-ketoglutarate is an intermediate of the tricarboxylic acid cycle and a naturally occurring compound in the human body that plays a key role in reactions that release and store energy. Plasma levels of calcium alpha-ketoglutarate decrease with age and can therefore be supplemented in the form of dietary supplements. In addition, calcium alpha-ketoglutarate has also been found to have a positive effect on prolonging healthy life, preventing osteoporosis, chronic kidney disease, and gastrointestinal diseases (from references)
