Biological activity: Vasicine, which can be separated from A Vasica is an alkaloid. It is a natural cholinesterase (cholinesterase) inhibitor with anticholinesterase activity in the preclinical model and can be used for the development of therapeutic drugs for Alzheimer's disease.

Chemical properties: white acicular crystal, soluble in methanol, ethanol, DMSO and other organic solvents, derived from Peganum harmala.
