Bioactive Oleanonic acid (3-Oxooleanolic acid) is a triterpene that can inhibit HIV-1 infection of cells. The EC50 that can inhibit HIV-1 infection of PBMC in vitro, naturally infected PBMC and monocyte/macrophage are 22.7 mM, 24.6 mM and 57.4 mM, respectively. In addition, it can inhibit the production of leukotriene B4 by mouse peritoneal leukocytes, with IC50 of 17 μ M。
