Biological activity: gentiopicroside is a natural iridoid glycoside, which can inhibit the activity of P450. The IC50 and Ki values of CYP2A6 are 61 µ M and 22.8 µ M respectively; Gentiopicroside has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities.

Chemical properties: white crystalline powder, soluble in methanol, almost insoluble in ether, derived from Gentiana macrophylla (Tibet, Gansu), Gentiana gentiana, Gentiana gentiana.

Usage: Gentiopicroside has the effects of cholagogic, anti-inflammatory, stomachic and hypotensive.
