Biological activity: Juglone is a yellow dye found in Juglansregia of black walnut, which has antibacterial ability.

Chemical property: yellow acicular crystal. The melting point is 155 ℃. Easily soluble in chloroform and benzene, soluble in alcohol and ether, soluble in alkali solution, purplish red, slightly soluble in hot water. It can sublimate and volatilize with water vapor.
